Free Speech For Sale (www.freespeechforsale.com) may look like your average cheapo mail order operation from hell, but the tagline "If You Buy You're Bought" should give it away. Set up as an artistic protest against the commercialisation of all life as we know it, it is in fact a collection of plunderphonic MP3s disguised as bogus products such as Billy Ray's All Purpose Product, The William Shatner Roaster, Small Hardback God, Byl-Kreem and others. The site is operated by Snuggles, a self proclaimed "online congregation of overt fanatics and curious well-wishers of the famous sample-based music ensemble Negativland" with the aim of demonstrating "a firm resistance to pervasive and invasive corporate influence upon and within our personal and professional lives and minds."
